Coco Key Water Resort

Today we went to Coco Key Water Resort in Omaha. There were hardly any people there from 11- 1:30 besides us and a few other families. It was so nice and relaxing. We plan on going once a month. It was a great break from winter even though we did have a beautiful 60 degree day today. I posted the slideshow link to the right.

I thought this was cute

A man observed a woman in the grocery store with a
three year old girl in her basket. As they passed the
cookie section, the child asked for cookies and her
mother told her "no." The little girl immediately began
to whine and fuss, and the mother said quietly, "Now
Ellen, we just have half of the aisles left to go
through; don't be upset. It won't be long."

He passed the Mother again in the candy aisle. Of course,
the little girl began to shout for candy. When she was
told she couldn't have any, she began to cry. The mother
said, "There, there, Ellen, don't cry. Only two more
aisles to go, and then we'll be checking out."

The man again happened to be behind the pair at the
check-out, where the little girl immediately began to
clamor for gum and burst into a terrible tantrum upon
discovering there would be no gum purchased today.
The mother patiently said, "Ellen, we'll be through
this check out stand in five minutes, and then you can go
home and have a nice nap."

The man followed them out to the parking lot and
stopped the woman to compliment her. "I couldn't help
noticing how patient you were with little Ellen..."

The mother broke in, "My little girl's name is Tammy...
I'm Ellen."

Twiggy Tree

This twiggy tree is the one thing I bought today at Weathered and Worn. They were giving 20% off any one item. I plan to put it in a crock when I find one the right size. For now I put it in this old blasting powder box with my washboard and a small crock.

Weathered and Worn Spring Open House

Today Paige and I went to the spring open house at Weathered and Worn. There were so many new things ! Lot's of neat garden/outdoor things that I would have loved to buy. They also have a few pieces of furniture that I like there. I love the portraits of George and Abe. I want those some day ! I asked the owner of the store if I could take some pictures and she didn't mind. I posted the link to the slideshow on the right for you to go window shopping !

New Hair

Well today was supposed to be my haircut day, but yesterday Angie called and had to cancel because she has the flu. I got brave and decided to go to the Ulta Salon instead. Nina is the girl who cut my hair and I think she did a pretty good job except that I was wanting it about an inch longer than she cut it. It also isn't as stacked as I would have liked in the back. It feels kind of round on my head. Gabriel called me a basketball head. :) Anyway, I know in a month or two it will be at a length that I like better. I also think I will go try the place I was planning to go to in Plattsmouth next time I need a trim.

A Way With Hair

This is a picture of the hair salon in Plattsmouth called A Way With Hair that I have an appointment at on Tuesday. I saw a lady in the Commisary the other day with a cute haircut. I asked her who cuts her hair and this is the place she told me. The lady that cut her hair is named Angie. After seeing this building I'm feeling very nervous, but I shouldn't judge it from the outside. I just hope Angie does a good job. Pray for me on Tuesday that I will get a good haircut ! :)

Plattsmouth

Today was so nice and warm out. Paige even wore capris and flipflops! We decided to go to Plattsmouth to see what it was like. It is only 15 minutes away from here and I saw that they had a couple of antique shops. The town is so hilly. It will be very pretty when everything is green instead brown and dead.I found some crocks that I liked in the Antique shop, but I didn't buy anything. We stopped at The River House Cafe ~ Old Fashioned Soda Fountain and Atiques. Gabriel got a coke float, Paige got a chocolate icecream sundae and I had a scoop of triple berry sorbet. It was delicious ! The old main street reminded me of Lebanon, but with not as many gift type shops. The buildings are also more western style in Plattsmouth.
