Spring Gatherings

I just wanted to share a few Spring gatherings around my house, but first here is a pillow that I'll be posting on Liberty Hill today. I think the fabric is very cheery, but still warm and prim looking. I stopped in GW yesterday. It's so close to my house that I plan to walk there during warmer days when I go looking for treasures. The Scooter's coffee shop is right next to it, so I could even stop for a coffee if I walk up there. That's my new plan for the warm Spring days ahead. Anyway, I stopped by yesterday and found a few wooden candle holders that I will redo to sell on Liberty Hill or use for make-do's. I did keep one for myself and I love how it turned out. It was a medium wood finish and only
.99 ! I painted it a creamy color, sanded it and stained it.

I put together this gathering in my kitchen. A bowl of grungy eggs, a little bunny, and my candlestick. I really like how this all looks together. Isn't the little bunny cute ? !

I made this bunny for my bowl rack a few weeks ago.

These bunnies and basket of Vermont maple eggs are on my coffee table.I had a completely different display on my coffee table last week, but ended up moving things around. I think this gathering will stay here through Spring, but who knows. :-) I see the sun coming out here this morning ~ hurray ! It's still supposed to be cold, but as long as there is sun it's just fine ! Have a great Thursday !

Hi Janae, that pillow is really cute! I really like the one on your bowl rack too. I like the candle holder you did too. You are finding some treasures at your GW. That is a good idea to walk there on nice days. I am glad the sun is shining for you today. It is pretty cold here today. I am tempted to make a fire in the fire place! :) Have a great day. God bless, Jamie

Just got home from GW and thought since it was Thursday they would be putting things out but instead they were taking things down that had been out for awhile so looks like I'll have to go back over tomorrow:)

I really like the rabbit on your bowlrack, you do great work Janae.

LOL! I'm not Rondell, but I'll take that as a compliment! I believe she also collects the Pfaltzgraff Folk Art pottery. Maybe that's why you had her on your mind. :)

I love your finds and that candlestick turned out awesome! I never find pretty ones like that!

Your displays are so nice. And I love that everything is still prim-looking. That's what I try to do too, even though it's spring.

Have a nice evening!

I really love your pillow!!!When you said you went to GW and want to go to the Scooters close by, I thought Wow, this sounds like my GW. Well, I read further down and you taked about going to Plattsmouth. I knew then you had to be very close by. Then of course I read your profile and discovered you live right down the street. Great blog and i'll be back.

Hi Janae ~ the pillow is so cute! And already sold! I keep missing out on your items for sale, so I'm following Liberty Hill now!

I love your gatherings. The candlestick is wonderful!
Are the grungy eggs made with paper mache eggs? I just found some paper mache eggs at my thrift store and thought would be a fun thing to do with them.
