Keeping Cool

That's what I've been trying to do the past couple days~ keep cool. It's way to hot out for me ! I know some of you might think I'm nuts, but I'm already looking forward to Fall :-) I even sprayed my pumpkin cornbread room spray around the house today~I love the smell of Fall! Well, today I stayed in the nice cool house, cleaned, and rearranged some things. I moved the table at the one end of my living room to a new spot under my wall cabinet. I think I like it better there because I have room to have the sides of the table up. If you want to see a few more new pictures I took today you can click here.
On Saturday Paige and I went to the Farmers market in Omaha and then to a few yard sales. We found this chair and desk for Paige for $5. They were light blue with stenciled flowers on them. We came home and spray painted them white to match the rest of the furniture in her room. The tall candle holder on the desk and the grungy green candle are from Primitive Treasures in Lincoln. She got those when we went there in May.

We also went to see The Proposal on Sunday afternoon. It was really good and so funny. We will probably go see Transformers 2 one day this week. Thank goodness for all the good movies that come out during the summer~ one of the other fun things we do to keep cool! Hope you all have a great week!

Janae, I love your table in that spot. Everything looks great as always. We think a lot a like, I just told someone the other day I was ready for Fall. I just love the decorating, scents and sights so much more. The heat of the summer is so oppressive at times. I have to see that movie too, looks cute. Stay cool!

I love all of your rearranging and I especially like the photo of your dining area, Janae. What lovely touches.

And I agree about enjoying the fall. It's my favorite time of year too!

I saw over at APP that you spent some time living in Maine while you were growing up. Was your dad stationed in Brunswick? My husband and I went to Bowdoin and we actually moved back to town about three years ago after living in Portland and Camden. It's such a nice community. And very New England.

Stay cool!

Janae, everything looks wonderful as always. I wish my house looked like that. Where do you buy those candle bulbs? I really like them. I'm with you about the fall season. That is my favorite time of year. Right now I just love staying inside with the air conditioner. lol
Have a great rest of the week!

I don't care for the heat of summer either... but it's only one season away from fall which makes me happy. ;)

I love seeing photos, it looks like you had a good time decorating!

I enjoyed seeing the photos of your lovely home. It's all so warm and inviting. I especially love the tall two door cabinet with tin (?) panels and the picture above it! That whole area is perfect!

The little vanity & bench were a great find!

Thank you for sharing the pictures of your home. You have done a beautiful job. What a great deal on the desk and chair.

DH and I have talked about seeing the new transformers movie. If the heat keeps up, we may just have to spend an afternoon in a cool theatre.

Happy Wednesday!
Debbie

Your home is just beautiful Janae. I loved looking thru your pictures. I love the colors of fall but I don't like the cool weather. I am definitely a summer and heat kind of girl.
Great buy on your daughters desk and chair. I would love to find something like that for my daughters room.
Enjoy your day and stay cool.

AMY
